I really hate this about you stuff, but I don’t want to leave folks hanging, so… These days, I am a typical middle aged wife and mom working a full time job. Sometimes it’s a struggle and I question myself. I still mess up all the time, but I have come a long way from nowhere. In days of the past, I was a pending statistic, and not a good one. Here is a short list of things I would like to have considered if you choose to read my stuff:

* I will talk about my parents and their shortcomings. This does not mean that I don’t love them or that I blame them for my own shortcomings.
* I will talk about coming from generations of families steeped in a deep tradition of abuse and dysfunction. This does not mean that I use that as an excuse for the trouble I have created for myself in my own life.
* I am Native American. This does not mean that I was born with spiritual and cultural awareness.

When I first started this blog, I titled it “Savage Heathen.”  The irony I was attempting to utilize repelled Natives and attracted pervs, so I came up with a compromise.  Savage Heathen felt more like me, but I’ll get used to Amber Glows, I hope.  Anyhow, thanks for clicking, I hope you find something you like!
